How hot is it in Mid-September in Lisbon and Porto areas?
Hello!
In general (I know whether is unpredictable) how hot is it in mid-September in Lisbon and Porto areas? Since there are many hills and walking already will be quite exhausting, I wonder if in addition, it might be still too hot.
Thank you!
Anna

When we have been in Portugal in September, the weather has been warm, almost the same as summer, but that’s what we prefer. Portugal does have a wide range of possible weather. Although you can generally expect upper 70’s to low 80’s (F) during the day and pleasantly cool for sleeping at night, you can have extreme heat as well. Porto usually is a tad cooler than Lisbon.

Our trip to Portugal was in mid September. The weather during the day was warm. I wore mostly capri type pants and my husband wore shorts a lot. It does get cold at night however. So, definitely bring a sweater. I was cold when we were in Fatima at night.
It was too cool to swim in Cascais, but there ocean temps are cold pretty much year round. We did sit by the pool with bathing suits on.

Thank you all! I am glad to hear that usually (recently weather has been so unpredictable!) it's warm throughout the day and cooler at nights. We love cooler weather especially considering that we are coming from Tokyo which is still unbearably hot in Septmeber (around 30-35C) and it does not cool down at night which is the worst part
