I believe he did.
In 2005, W was president.
The Mets could play decent baseball.

IMHO the best guide books for sights are the Michelin green guides - actually more info than you already know.
Can't comment on Steeeeves - since we don;t travel in his style and to someone who has done more than a little travel his level of info is useless and sometimes insulting. (Personally I also find him creepy and think there may be kids buried in his back yard.)
Have not looked at a Frommer's since Pauling took over - but I disagree with her a lot about NYC - so probably won't bother. (And since they changed the website I can no longer get in - and have abandonned the attempt. It's basically moribund anyway - esp for the US).
