How fast to get to CDG2 TGV train station from Terminal 1 CDG
Hi Everyone. I'm arriving on a Friday morning 6.40am at CDG terminal 1. I need to catch the 8.19am train from the CDG2 TGV station. This is my first trip to France and i'm not sure if that is enough time for me to get out of the customs and immigration and still make it in time for the train ride. I have already purchased the train tickets and printed the tickets.
Please advice.
Thanks

Well if you already have bought the tickets then all you can do is hope that you have no delays along the way:
Plane leaves and arrives on time
There is no wait for a jetway
Immigration has no lines from other planes arriving at the same time
There is no delay getting luggage (this is your big risk since it can take up to an hour for checked luggage to arrive - if you can take carry-ons only it will give you a much better chance) since customs takes about 5 seconds - just walk out through the green lane

The CDGVal automatic rail shuttle connects the terminals.
I was reading this morning that most flights from North American now arrive early, because the airlines have been padding their schedules with extra time to make their on-time performance look better.

Just returned from Paris in late April, and had to deal with a similar situation, though our connection was with a train out of Gare de Lyon (we missed the connection because our United flight was 4 hours late).
Once we landed, it took us approximately 35 minutes to exit the plane, walk through some lengthy Terminal 1 corridors, clear customs and exit into the terminal (we had only carry-on luggage so didn't have to claim any baggage).
You'll want to immediately look for signs for the CDGVAL, which is a tram that runs on tracks:
(From the CDG website) "CDGVAL Airport Shuttle between Terminal 1 - Terminal 2 (Gare TGV/RER). On leaving aircraft, follow sights for “Exit – Baggage Reclaim”, pass through Customs, then follow CDGVAL signs (Niveau/Level 0); free tram runs every 4 minutes and journey time between terminals is 8 minutes."
Good luck, and make sure you have a backup plan for a later train.
