You only need to be at the train station in time to step onto the train when it arrives.

Not the TGV, Suze.

Thirty minutes is minimum. Getting to the station at certain times of day can be slow to nightmarish. Lines can be long for exit/security control. Follow Stacyfll's plan is good enough for me.

Welcome to Fodors Stacyfll. Not quite sure how you found this really old thread, but it is usually a good idea to check the dates before topping.

(there are rare exceptions when it does make sense to top a REALLY old thread)

Ackislander - you mean the Eurostar to/from London, not the TGV.
