Robespierre, I know I am going to be sorry I asked this, but when you gave directions and typed the keys needed to produce the symbols, you managed to type the sequence of keys that would produce the symbols but we see the sequence of keys itself. When I type that sequence, I get the symbol. What is your trick?

I represented the first symbol (the ampersand) as & so that the characters following it aren't inspected for HTML codes.

On my British Mac laptop it is just alt + 2. I had to get the book out to find that the alt key is the option key.

On Word, go to Insert, click on Symbol, scroll to Subset: Currency Symbols, click on the euro symbol, insert and close.

£ on a mac is option +3 = £
