Copy a phrase from your reposting onto your clipboard. Return to the Fodor's home page. Then come back to the Europe forum. At the top are two fields for searching. The left is blank; the right has no forum highlighted. Place the phrase you copied into the left field, and click on go. Do not select a subforum, or the search will be limited to that subforum. Good luck.

You can also type your name (paula) into the search box and your messages will appear. Yours is still here... somewhere..

Paula, I typed "Paula" into the text search box at the top of the page and your message was the first to come up. I've just topped it for you.

This is not much help after you have lost your message but will help with future postings. Once you post your question and it appears at the top of the list on the left, right click on it. Choose "open in new window". When it opens in new window, add it to "Favorites" giving it a name you will recognize. Then just go to Favorites and click on it whenever you want to check for replies.

When someone asks for help in finding a post, it is only of limited usefulness to "top" it. All posts simply sink again, and quickly.

Far more useful is to cite its URL.

Like this:

http://www.fodors.com/forums/pgMessages.jsp?fid=2&tid=34374312

With this, as long as you have the post asking "where is it?" you also have the answer, forever relocatable.

Best wishes,

Rex
