How can I buy tickets for ferry connecting Barcelona with Mallorca

Hello, my family of 4 plan to make a 10-day visit to Spain. We already have Barcelona (3 first days) and Mallorca (4 last days) in our calendar. Please help advice us on our choice for sites to visit for the 3 days in between these two destinations and on how we can book a (overnight) ferry trip from Barcelona to Mallorca (I got from Fodor's info that this is possible yet no further hints on how we can make it, how much it costs and so on). I assume the booking can be done over the Internet or at least there should be a website for this into alone. Would appreciate if you guys give me some hints. We look forward to hearing your valuable advice and thank you very much in advance!

There are three ferry operators:
www.balearia.com
www.trasmediterranea.es
www.iscomar.com

At the trasmediterranea.es site, why are all of the future dates (say, in June 2009) blocked off already? One can't choose them.

The screen shows two calendars, for the outward and return journeys. If you are making a one-way journey, the second calendar will be inactive.
Initially, the current month (May) is displayed. If you click on the little arrow to the right of the month name, the next month (June) is displayed. The website currently shows schedules up to mid-September.
