Hours of good advice!

I just did what many people are advised to do...picked some key words (e.g. St Remy) and a country (France) and hit the search button. Then I spent well over an 2 hours copying and pasting threads, suggestions from threads, web sites, etc. It really really works! Thanks my friends! There are so many delightful people here who provide simply the best ideas to use when planning a trip. I've been using this forum for years, planned 2 trips to Paris, one to London and one to Italy, and it is all you wonderful travelin' fools who have helped make it all work. Merci, gracias, danke, Thank you very much.

This is the first time that I read a post from a traveler that have done the smartest thing (use the Search function) and even smarter, to post it as good, common sense advice. Dianne, you are tops.

Sometimes it gets a bit annoying to have the same topic listed within the first 50 post by different(?) people, specially info that have been posted 543 times before.

I have done what Diane has described, and I found it worthwhile to actually create a webpage with all the copied and pasted info so that I could refer to it at home or at work, and add to it over time.

It never seemed right to publicize it to anyone else, but it is a great way to asemble a "dossier" of info.

It seems like Fodors might do well to allow a Hall of Fame for various locations where classic posts or even trip reports could be filed away for browsing or easy access.
