Hotels near Piazza Navona

We're looking for a nice (150 euros/night) hotel near the Piazza Navonna for our stay in January. Has anyone stayed at the Hotel Genio? It looks like a great location. Thank you.

we are booked for 6/26-7/2 at the residenza san pantaleo...more of a b&b than a hotel but very accomodating. it is in the piazza navonna area, just below it according to their map.

Hi agrebe.

We stayed at the Genio in 2002, and enjoyed our stay.

The location is excellent, just steps from the Piazza Navona, and easy walking distance to almost everything else.

The staff members were cordial and helpful, and the breakfast was good.

We were a group of five couples, and our five rooms varied in size, so you might want to ask for a larger room.

We really enjoyed gathering on the rooftop terrace for drinks before we went out to dinner every night.

Have a wonderful time in Rome.

hi, just wanted to post that the residenza san pantaleo is a basic hotel . . . BUT it is in a great location. navona is steps away. i stayed there for 6 nights this past march, and it was the perfect location. i thought the accomodations were sufficient, but my friend would disagree, thin walls, one of the rooms was small . . . but that is all minor when you are in ROMA!

I agree with Byrd, was a great deal for the price and such a great location. I would not hesitate staying there again, but do ask for a larger street side room.....Bob

Look into the Raphael just off the Piazza Navona. It's a boutique hotel. The location is superb. I really liked it, but it gets some spotty reviews, usually because of the price. A few years ago, I lucked out on a $150/night rate in November. You should get a great rate this month although, I'm sure it's more expensive now.

We stayed at Hotel Genio back in 2001. We enjoyed it, convenient location and very clean. Has a nice rooftop terrace too.
