Hotels in Puglia - Bari and Torre Canne
Hello Fodorites,
I need help with hotels in Puglia. We, a couple in their 50th, are going to Puglia mid-September. We are staying in Bari for 3 nights and then would like to relax on the beach for 2 nights.
I made reservations for our hotels and would like to get the feedback on them as I can still cancel them.
We are looking for a high end accommodations, convenient location, good service, nice beach for the one for 2 nights.
Bari - Ih Hotels Bari Oriente. I also considered Grande Albergo Delle Nazioni but wasn't sure about it.
Torre Canne - Canne Bianche Lifestyle Hotel. We've chosen it as we would like to relax for a couple of days at the resort type hotel. Is it a good choice? We are open to switch to another one as long as it's on/near the nice beach.
Feedback please

I stayed at the Oriente for a night about 3 years ago. I loved the room, the bathroom, the location (about :12 minute walk from the stazzione, and about the same to the old town/port area) and the breakfast (for the most part). There's an execllent restaurant right around the corner. The breakfast array was huge, but I will say the scrambled eggs were a disappointment (baked, rather than scrambled). I will likely stay there again on my next trip.

Not in Bari, rather a little south along the Adriatic Coast, in Polignano a Mare. Lovely town. We were thrilled with our stay at Covo Dei Saraceni with views of the sea, cove and beach, the old town and the square. Fantastic restaurant there too, delicious, high quality service too.
