hotels in paris
I returned from a week in Paris two days ago. We stayed at the Hotel Brittanique, in the 1st arrondisement. It is rated 3 stars, but should be 4. It was a fabulous hotel, lovely appointments, clean, courteous service. The bathroom and bathtub were wonderful. It is also next to The Seine, close to the Louvre, Notre Dame, Saint Chapelle, and the Metro.
We had a wonderful trip. We used the Fodor's Guide extensively to learn about the culture and make some decisions about museums, etc. We became interested in Hotel Brittanique, however, from a site called Bonjourparis.com. Our hotel was rated by Fodors, though they didn't say anything spectactular about it. I searched the web alot for personal reviews on this hotel before settling into it and really felt as happy as I've ever been. Wonderful trip, highly recommend it...and the hotel does laundry too!!!

Glad to have your review of the Brittanique. A friend stayed there a few months ago and loved it too. They do run some good specials in the late fall and early winter...we just might try it next time.
Glad you had a great time!
