Hotels in Monterosso Al Mare

Looking for a place to stay in Monterosso in June. My first choices are booked. Where did you stay?

Hi Julieann

What were your first choices?

We stayed at Villa Steno and would highly recommend it. Very nice rooms, good breakfasts and wonderful, attentive service from the owners and staff. Ask for Room 18 if you want a great, private terrace with superb view.

Villa Steno is nice, and I'd recommend it. But if you're looking for something a little out of the way and maybe cheaper, consider the Hotel 5Terre.

It's in the New Town, a couple of blocks from the beach and a short walk from the train station. Clean, convenient, modern, good breakfast. The staff is friendly and helpful (the bellhop refused a tip for transporting the bags for five of us).

Just as an aside, I think we were the only Americans there. Most of the other guests were Italian or German. Didn't really matter, as most of the staff speaks excellent English, but I'm just mentioning it.

I don't know what your price range is; but, we enjoyed La Poesia in the old section of Monterrosa 3 years ago. It's a nice small B&B. Breakfast is served on the terrace.
