Just answered a similar question on TA forums
The bus/train station is under 10 mins from the centre of town, so basically any hotel in town and within your budget would be fine. I usually stay at the Eviston in one of the better rooms but somewhere like the International or Killarney Plaza are handy. The Fairview is listed as a guest house but might as well be a Hotel.

Thanks, Tony! As you can see, I'm still in the planning stage of our trip. Just last night my husband and I met with the other couple we're meeting in Dublin on June 9th. We agreed to limit our cities to Dublin for 4 nights (since we don't get in until late afternoon) and 3 nights in Killarney. Our last night will be spent somewhere in Shannon near the airport. I've read several recommendations for the Killarney Plaza and the International. Glad to have your recommendation of Eviston. Will take a look at it. Thanks again! Kathy

There are budget rooms available at the Eviston but I would go for the Superior. The Deluxe rooms are much as the superior but cost more.

There are rooms with what you would call a Queen and a single, I once had one to myself but you could request one I suppose. The Delux rooms are slightly better aesthetically if that's the right word but everything else facility wise is the same.

Tony2phones...my husband is stretched out NOW on the queen bed here at the Eviston! The hotel is quite nice. Thanks for the recommendation.
Any suggestions for listening to the best traditional (session) music here in Killarney?
How about a moderately priced place for a traditional Irish dinner?
