Does anyone have a suggestion for a hotel in Glyfada. It's for my last night in Athens before flying home.

Since the airport (the old one; don't know about the newer) was only about a $12 taxi ride from Athens, we just stayed near Plaka to enjoy another nite in the city. Had our plane been leaving early in the morning, perhaps we would have considered Glifada, but there doesn't seem to be much to recommend the area except for proximity to airport. Can be noisy, too, with air traffic.

Hi,<BR>We have stayed at the Sea View in Glyfada. We had a very early departure. It was great. Not expensive and a nice pool.

Karyn, the new Athens airport is not in Glyfada so if your intent is to stay close to the airport for a quick getaway in the morning then Glyfada is not where you want to stay. The new airport is to the northwest of the city centre (this is if my internal compass is correct as I have yet to see it on a map). I believe a similar question was posted a few days back and someone suggested staying at the Sofitel Hotel right at the airport.
