Hotels in Brussels

We're looking for a smallish hotel in Brussels for the end of September. Does anyone know the George V? The Aristote? They look a ways from the town center but we don't mind a little walk. Any other suggestions?

We enjoyed our stay at the Welcome Hotel, just a short walk to the Grand Place and there is a metro stop right in front. Nice quiet area at night too. Sophie and Michel are most welcoming!

A lovely townhouse hotel located between the Grand Place and the train station.

Second vote for the Welcome. It's a lovely hotel and they're lovely people.

Travelbunny,

I looked at the website for that hotel ... I almost choked on the coke I was drinking!

180 euro for a Single Standard!

OH MY!

I hope I can find a budget place! I might try priceline.

This is a nice clean hotel (kind of 'business class') about an 8-minute walk from Grand Place, and maybe 15 minute walk from Gare Central.

Rue du Vieux Marché aux Grains, 30
We had a large twin room, biggest bath I've had in Europe, decent breakfast.
Had no noise problem b/c room had interior entry, backing onto small courtyard area. Rates are lower on weekends.
