Here are some given on a search on this forum

or try reading the reviews on www.booking.com
I cannot be more precise as you do not give dates. Easter is in April this year so prices will be higher. Sometimes you can get discounts for longer stays. How long is your stay?
Prices are normally in Euros, but something like booking will convert to your dollars. (US Canadian Australian Hong Kong ????)

I've recommended Hotel Gran Via several times on this forum.
Perfctly located literally around the corner from Passeig Gracia's Gaudi buildings, Placa Catalunya and The Rambla. Parking available if you need it. ASsk for a back room to avoid street noise from the Gran Via road. Should be under $200. Classic white marble staircase.

We stayed at this hotel in April, 2011 and were very pleased. It's about a block away from the Hotel Gran Via. Location is terrific.
Ask for a room facing the boulevard. We had a little terrace with french doors. Room was not very large but very contemporary and comfortable. Note: I rely on the ratings on www.booking.com because they only take ratings from people who booked and stayed through them. Little chance of fake reviews:
Acta Atrium Palace
Gran Via Corts Catalanes, 656, Eixample, 08010 Barcelona

Our favorite hotel is Granados 83 in the Eixample area, about 3 blocks from Casa Mila. I just checked them on Booking.com and they have doubles for 199 US in that early April time frame. We're staying there again when we return in late March. Rooms are small but very modern and clean. We find the place comfortable and a good value.

I did area #4 (Las Rablas North). #5 (Las Rablas South)would be really cool too but we're going in April and I didn't want to take a chance on being by the beach. We're just not going to spend much time down there.
Also, if I remember, I don't think I liked the location of any of the 5* hotels. So I did 4* knowing I was comfortable with all of them.
Let me know if you have any other questions. Good luck!
