hotels

London during February '10 with husband and 15 yr. old grandson. I know how small hotel rooms are and am looking for a triple at a reasonable price. Anyone have any recommendations? Much appreciated.

Try Jury's Inn Chelsea. It is a bit far out but has excellent transportation right outside the door. I've just booked a large room, queen bed and foldout sofa, 80 GBP a night includes full English breakfast. We've stayed there several time and have never found it inconvenient

Thank you, thank you, thank you. Why do I find the people friendlier and more responsive on Fodors than Frommers? Anyone else think as I do?

I have not booked yet, but intend to stay at the Premier Inn County Hall. They have rooms for 3 and 4 (check the reviews on Tripadvisor). It is right outside the London Eye, and across the water from the Houses of Parliament. The Westminster tube stop is a five minute walk (at most) across the river.

We stayed next door at the Marriott for a week a couple of years ago and really liked the location. The Marriott also has rooms for 3, but it is a couple hundred pounds more per night.

ALso try Londontown.con. I put in some Feb dates and got hotels starting at $96.00US for triples. They also send you a gift worth about 40 GBP for tours etc.

Hopefully that link will bring you to the page I found . Id not just put in your actual dates and number of people

Just returned from London. Used Marriott County Hall @ London Eye. Room was very spacious.
Used Marriott Grosvenor Square for 1st 3 days. Smaller room, but adequate.
Used Marriott Champs Elysee in Paris another spacious room.
Was able to use AAA for discount and Friends and Family for the others. Grandson's uncle works for Marriott.
As for the original Holiday Inn I was looking at, it was very near Jamie Oliver's resturant 15 which is a fab. place to eat.
We did the 1st day. Thanks for your help, much appreciated.
