Driving from Monaco to the Hotel Splendido Mare in Portofino, Italy: When I tried to enter the addresses in Google Maps to print out the driving directions, it says:

We could not calculate directions between Place du Casino, 98000 Monaco and Via Roma, 2, 16034 Portofino GE, Italy

The Hotel Splendido Mare is the waterfront "sister" property to the main Hotel Splendido property up on the hillside, which is pretty far away When i key in the main hotel's address Salita Baratta 16, 16034 Portofino, Italy that comes up, so I can at least get to the right town. What is more frustrating is that the Splendido Mare will display as a valid Google Map address, I just can get the directions to it.

Anyone who has been to the Hotel Splendido Mare, can you tell me if you park at the main hotel and they bring you down via their shuttle to the other property, or do I need to find my own way to the Hotel Splendido Mare? I've been told trying to drive in Portofino is a nightmare with winding, single-lane roads.

Portofino is really tiny---you will not miss it.
Perhaps the hotel can help.

Bob's practical advice worked... I contacted the concierge via E-Mail at the Splendido. There is separate covered parking facility for guests of the Splendido Mare... at 30 Euros/night + 10 VAT, otherwise there is no parking in Portofino itself, although there is public parking at the entrance to the village.

The public lot is about 100 yards behind the hotel as you enter town---the hotel is right at the waters edge at the end of the bay. Quite easy.
