Hotel-Rome Airport

How early is your flight?

Really, hotels in Rome are happy to arrange a cab for you at a very early hour ... early enough to make any flight schedule I know. It takes about 30 minutes or less from central Rome to the airport at an early hour.

Enjoy your last night in Rome, in Rome, with a good meal and the aura of the city.

You'll find a rundown on hotels near the airport at www.twenj.com/romehtlapt.htm

Ed

I had the exact same question, Kimberly, as I also have a 7 am flight on a Tuesday morning in early June. I asked a counselor at IckRay EvesStay (pig latin to hide the competitor reference), and was told that all Rome hotels are used to this and will arrange a ride for you no matter the hour.
However, I have another, similar, dilemma. What's the best way to get from the airport (Da Vinci) to the train station (Termini)? My flight arrives at 9:35 am, will it be impossible to make a 10:04 train to Cinque Terre, or should we wait for the 12:04?

If you check bags you'd be very lucky to be through customs by the time the Cinque Terre train leaves.
Even if you don't check your bag your flight would have to arrive about an hour early to give you a chance at the 10:04.

Plan on the 12:04 ... and hope your flight isn't very late!

Ed

Colleen: Trains from Fiumicino to Termini sation leave every 1/2 hour, at :27 and :57. The trip to Termini takes 32 minutes. If your flight is late, but you're still able to catch the 11:27am train out from the airport, I recommend you don't travel all the way to Termini because you'd have very little time to catch the Eurostar (you wouldn't make it for sure if you'd still have to buy tickets). In this case, I'd recommend you step off at Rome's Ostiense station. You'd arrive at 11:54am, with plenty of time to catch the same Eurostar leaving at 12:17pm. Also, Rome's Ostiense is much more manageble than Termini.
Paulo
