Hotel recommendations from magazine
I just received my new Conde Nast Traveler magazine that listed best new > 100 hotels, 66 resturants and 30 bar scenes. Here are a few for France - Palais de la Mediterranee (Nice); Hotel Le A & Plaza Paris Vedome (both in Paris); L'Atelier de Joel Robucon -Entrees $12-$25 and L'Atelier Albert - Entrees $24-$29 (both in Paris); and the hot spot in Paris is La Suite - during the day ist an eatery and the midnight the dancing starts...hope this helps in someone with their plans....back to reading and dreaming until the next trip Denise

I don't think there are two by that name, and I'm sure they are talking about the one by the Hotel Pont Royal, as that's the new one being written up.
I've been there, and those prices seem about right to me (although they might have been quoted in euro in the magazine, not sure). What do you think they should be? It sounds like you think it is cheaper than that.

They didn't post the address but they did give a description of the place as being 37-seat lacquered box and that you would be glad that you waited in a two-hour curbside line....and of course the description of the food sounds wonderful. I don't know why they only posted a telephone number and not an address since they have a no-reservation policy....but unless the magazine made a typo the prices are in USD, but who knows which date and year they used to convert...they also listed Stella that has been reopened..

The second reference is likely to the newly redecorated Atelier Maitre Albert on the rue of the same name. It's a Guy Savoy bistro. We liked it. Very modern decor. I think the bar is best, especially if you're traveling solo. There's one of those communal tables.

I think the restaurant is located inside the Hotel Pont Royal.
Plaza Paris Vendome seems to be a nice hotel but according to reports on tripadvisor.com several people have noted that the staff is inconsistent (ditzy they say).

It is on the ground floor of the Hotel Pont Royal, it has a separate door, though, so looks just like a restaurant next to the hotel.
That is definitely the one I was at (the no reservations, stools, etc, give it away), and here is another review by P Wells in the IHT

I presume that article in Conde Nast is calling a main course an "entree" as they do in the US, rather than entrees as in Paris (which are appetizers). You basically order each dish separately a la carte, anyway.
P Wells quotes an estimated complete price of 50 euro (without wine), although I spent a little less (about 50 euro with wine) but I didn't order huge numbers of dishes. I had some soup as appetizer, and some lamb chops and pureed potatoes for main course, and some small chocolate thing for dessert (which was the one thing I wasn't crazy about). As I recall the lamb chops were about 15-18 euro, which is why I thought those estimates were pretty accurate. The appetizers or side dishes are less. I probably paid about 1o-15 euro for my portion of the wine we got.
