Hotel Rates in N Spain in May 2010

I have begun to research a trip to N Spain in May 2010. It looks like most hotels don't have their rates available yet as booking shows "not available." At this point I'm trying to get a sense of costs. Not even sure if May is low or high season. Any idea when Spring 2010 rates might start showing on the websites of hotels? thanks

May rates are usually in between depending on the town and any special event.

Ditto what Aduchamp said. If it is a beach resort town like Santander or San Sebastian the season starts later and they might have three price points , low, mid and high.

I would email hotels directly.

Most hotels, outside of the international hotel chains, will not post their late spring/early summer rates until late in the fall.
