Hotel near American Embassy in Paris

I have to be in Paris for two days on business next week near the American Embassy. Does anyone have any hotel recommendations?

What is your budget range? I believe if you look for all of the recommendations in the 7th, you will get some ideas.

The American Embassy is located in the 1st district. True you should post your budget requirement. I can think of the Brighton Hotel as a moderately priced hotel-ask for a Tuileries View room.

Francophile is right. I'm not sure why I was thinking the 7th.

Hi Will, you are right in a way because the 7th does have quite a few embassies located there.

I think the Crillon is practically right next door.

You can practically touch the American Embassy from the Hotel Crillon, which can't be more than 15 feet away -the Rue Boissy d'Anglas separates the two structures-right there at Place de la Concorde. Not to mention that right behind the Crillon is one of the most unique, hip, best bar and restaurant scenes anywhere -the Buddha Bar.

The Crillon is booked. This is a business trip so I have some latitude in spending.

Try Hotel Le Faubourg-Paris Sofitel Demeure, a four star hotel at 15 rue Boissy d'Anglas. Not far at all from the embassy and it's got a cozy bar with a fireplace.

Another alternative is the Hotel L'Astor on rue d'Astorg. It's a short walk to the American Embassy.

Happy expense account? Hotel Meurice on Rue de Rivoli isn't far.

Another vote for Sofitel Le Faubourg. Very convenient location, quite nice hotel (they had the same interior designer as the Georges V).
