hotel location help needed for Bergen,No

We are considering two hotels in Bergen and are wondering about location. We will only have one afternoon and evening to see some of Bergen in late April, before taking the Bergen-Oslo Norway in a Nushell route.. The hotels we are considering are the Raddison Blu Royal at the Brygge and the Raddison Blu Norge which is located more in the city center. Does one location have any advantages over the other? Any suggestions?

the Blu Royal is definitely the more central location, although you'll probably pay for it. The other is a 8-10 min walk (looks like) to the "sights" in Bergen. Not bad actually. Will you be arriving via airport?

take the brygge one. it's a nice area, with sandviken right above it and many hip restaurants are appearing in this neighbourhood. also it's next to the "port" and the fort. bergen is so compact, you can easily walk everywhere. Brygge is also closer to the fløyenbanen.

I would agree with menachem. With so little time there, it would be nice to stay in the Bryggen area. Make sure you go on the floibanen. The view was great! My daughter's loved it. There's a bakery called Godt Brod right at the entrance that sells great hot chocolate! Someone on this board had recommended it and it was worth it! Very sweet though like eating a chocolate bar.
