Hotel Limathof

Can you tell me anything about the Hotel Limathof in Zurich? We will be staying there for 3 nights in July.

There are two hotels in Zurich with Limathof in the name. We stayed at the one just across the street from the bahnhof. The price was as low as you'll find in the downtown. The price you pay, though, is that the rooms & bathrooms are very small--even buy European standards, the hallways were a bit dark and dreary and, depending on room location, you get lots of street noise. We would likely choose another hotel were we to return to Zurich.

Thanks JN. Maybe I had better rethink my choice of hotels. I wanted to be centrally located in Zurich but maybe there is a better choice.

I booked for Sept at Leoneck Hotel, also across the bridge from bahnhof, but further over. There are a lot of comments about it on the Rants and Raves.
I booked thru their website, and have exchanged emails b/c I had to change my dates once.

I don't know what your price range is, but the Hotel Walhalla, Limatstrasse 5, is near the HBF, is a 3*** and has doubles for 160-220 chf/nite. We've not stayed there, but it looks like a reasonably price, convenient option. Here is a website with info --German only--http://www.swisshotels.ch/index.cfm?UUID=986B64C1F5FC4646A61EDE732E234D08&ac tion=http://shv.webplatz.ch/swisshotels/hotels-de.php?detail=true&id=41289
