Hotel in VENICE for May

My fiance and I are staying in Venice for 3 nights during our honeymoon. We are having trouble booking a hotel or apartment (no availabilty). Can anyone suggest anything close to San Marco?

You should give info about your budget to get a good response. Which hotels have you tried? If you don't mind my asking, why would you want to stay near San Marco? That area is packed with tourists, prices are high, and many of the best places to eat are not in that area. Venice is so small that you can stay almost anywhere and easily walk to all the sights. I would try hotels in Canareggio, San Polo, or, especially, Dorsoduro before San Marco.

If you can climb stairs check out Laconda Sturion. Nice but no lift and loads of stairs to climb.

Did you look on Venere.com. You can plug in your dates and get some idea of what is available at your pricerange. Then you can look into available hotels.

Hotel Flora is a charming hotel near San Marco(www.hotelflora.it).

I'm staying at the Locanda Orseolo on my honeymoon, I've heard a lot of good things about it on here and tripadvisor.com!

There's a very nice B&B just a couple of minutes stroll from Piazza San Marco where I would not mind spending my honeymoon...
