Hotel in Rome

I am looking for information about Hotel Marghera in the center of Rome. Is that a good location? Do you know Hotel Portghesi?
Thanks for any help.

Center of Rome of sorts ... The Marghera lays a couple of blocks from Termini Station. Haven't stayed in the Portoghesi either, but it's certainly much better located. If the price's right for you, I'd try the Santa Chiara.
Paulo

We loved the Citi Hotel, just a few yards from the Spanish Steps and so close to all the shops. We also ate at the Ciao restaurant just a few yards away. All the local business/office workers congregate there - very good value.

The Portoghesi is in a great location and is suppose to be a decent hotel. But as the 'poster child' for the Hotel Due Torri, I must also reccommend it. The Due Torri is right near the Portoghesi, but I think you will find a more friendly staff and quieter location at the Due Torri.

If you want to see pictures of the Due Torri, check out my websight--

http://home.earthlink.net/~richardab/

Follow the path

Enter>Fly>Europe>Rome>Sleep

My sight also has other info on Rome such as Hotels, Restaurants and Travel Info. I also recently added my new section on Amsterdam Hotels (if you are interested).

Let me know if you have any questions!

I've never been to the Portoghesi, but my friends stay there every time they go and they love it.

Scalinata di Spagna is great though it is located at the top of the Spanish Steps.
