Hotel in Milan

Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced hotel in Milan? I need a triple and prices are sky high even for doubles. Would like the hotel to be centrally located.

I can warmly recommend Hotel Star, Via dei Bossi, very central, quiet and very reasonable, but don't know whether they have triples, but try them!

Another recommendable one, simple but OK and very central as well is Hotel Santa Marta Via Rovello, you'll find the multilingual side on the web. They have triples for 120 Euro which for the centre of Milan is VERY reasonable! Good luck!Of course rooms are not very big. Probably Star is nicer but more expensive.

Thanks to a friend of mine, milanese and living in Milan, I discovered an excellent B&B in the center of Milan, and I use it very often when I must go to Milan for more than one day.
It is B&B SANT'AGOSTINO.
They have not triple but, sure, they have a single so that you can get a double plus one single.
The prices are very low.
Look at its website: www.b-b-santagostino.it.

As a matter of fact I go back to Star hotel tomorrow for 3 days, rate for a double with bath at this moment (xmas shopping period) is 159 Euros but as they are redecorating they made a special price for 139 as there may be noise during the day time.
I will check whether it is still as nice. Ivee

Ivee and Jam, please consider posting trip reports for your time in Milan. We read next to nothing here about this fascinating city and I always wonder why more people here do not visit.

Have fun!

Back from Hotel Star. I do not particularly like their new decoration (enormous wall paintings of wild animals above the bed).
I do not know whether the prices will go up after the complete redecoration. I will definitely return there: super location -3 minutes walk from the Galleria and the Scala etc. The most charming and helpful personnel you can imagine. Do ask to be on the inner court side.
