Hotel in Madrid near Airport

We will be driving to Madrid from Barcelona and arriving - hopefully - early afternoon. The next day we will be returning our rental car to the airport where we will be boarding our 1:15PM flight back to Vancouver.

I want a decent, (3-4 star), hotel located on a direct route to the Airport - i.e. not necessarily adjacent. Obviously I want to avoid driving in Madrid proper but I don't want to be so far out that it will be an expensive taxi ride to the city centre. Being on a Metro line wouldn't hurt either. Thanks for your help.

Gary
As I recall the Novotel chain has a hotel close to the Madrid airport. Check their web page for details. Novotels are generally quite decent 3-4 star hotels and not real expensive. Hope this helps.

This web site might help as well:

http://www.airporthotelsearch.com/ma...rt_hotels.html
