Hotel Grillon in Beaune

Has anybody any info as to the distance to town from this hotel. Do you know if it is an easy walk. Also any other info would be appreciated.
Thanks

I am booked to stay there in October. It's located "1km from the Hospices of Beaune" and my guide Routard says its an easy walk.

I'll gladly report back after my return.

My wife and I stayed at Hotel Grillon in June '02. Grillon is a very comfortable inn. You are correct that it is 1 km from the City perimeter. It is also a great value. One can easily walk to the city center. The rooms are very comfortable. Breakfast is an option which is nice to have-as we prefer to go into the city for cafe & croissant. If you have car you can also drive to the city from Grillon. Parking is easy. Having a car is also important if you want to visit vignerons. Madame Grillon speaks excellent English and is very nice. Ask her to make a reservation at Ma Cuisine-you won't be disapointed. Make sure you get proper directions to the hotel if you are driving.
Bonne chance,
Gregg

Thanks for that info. I have reserved for Sept. and will try to get to Ma Cuisine as you suggested also.
