Hotel for Christmas in Ireland

Hi there,

Anyone know of a good hotel that will be open for christmas in Ireland. One that does an all in christmas package from Christmas Eve for 3 nights. We are a couple with no kids so would prefer something that is more geared towards adults . I have tried googling but there seems to be a lot of stuff from last year still up so am wondering if it's too early to look or if lots of places are not doing Christmas this year. So far, I can see that Renvyle House in Connemara, Harveys Point in Donegal, Park Hotel in Kenmare and Cashel House also in Connemara have various offerings. Anyone any comments about any of these or know of any other good ones.

CailinDee, I just happened to come across your request. Sorry that you did not get any responses.

I would suggest looking into the ABBEYGLEN CASTLE HOTEL in Cliften, Connemara. They always offered a great Christmas package I have heard. It is a charming hotel that would be adult-orientated with lively music and a wonderful dining room. Not sure if they are offering a holiday package this year but it would be worth looking into.

Cashel House and Renvyle House are also elegant. Good luck!

I would second Abbeyglen for a none city spot but be aware that if you want extra entertainment around Christmas you should probably consider a city location.

I got a flyer in the post recently about the Radisson in Farnham (Cavan) 's Christmas offering - it looked very reasonable and in my opinion it's a nice hotel. If it was closer to Dublin I would have considered it for myself... It could be a bit out of the way depending what you want to do and see.

When in Ennis, we had dinner at "The Poets Corner" in the Old Ground Hotel. The food was great and the room lively.

We didn't stay there, but always though that we might in the future. The hotel is right in the town to walk to all the shops etc. It also had an upscale restaurant. An old building, it seems it would be beautiful at Christmas.
