have you done a websearch yet? There is a site...Paris hotels dot something dot something that will bring you a wealth of information. Having just come back, and having spent weeks previous researching stuff, this place rings a bell. I bet you will find some info on them with a little looking.

One word: As a first time visitor to Paris, I was SO impressed with the quality of our accommodations for the $100 (that's dollar) price range......

Try www.adx.fr/hotel-du-champ-de-mars/
We have reservations to stay there at the beginning of January. Have heard good things about it and they were very friendly on the phone.
Check others opinions on this and other Paris hotels at www.paris.org

The Hotel de Champs du Mars is fabulous. I first heard about it through this travel board where many people raved of its charm (although some mentioned they hoped word would not spread too far and wide about this great find.) The neighborhood is just terrific and well located. The rooms are very small, but clean and well decorated -- we stayed there just last week! Make reservations soon.

Hello,

I seem to be a bit confused, are there two Hotel du Champ de Mars in France? I received a fax today from one that listed its address as 13, rue General Leclerc, 22000 Saint-Brieuc. Is anyone familiar w/this hotel? TIA!!! Has everyone stayed at (or refferring to) the Hotel Champ du Mars located on 7, rue de Champ de Mars?

Kim Byrd

Dawn,

Thanks so much for solving this puzzle for me; I was truly confused. From what I can read, it appears to be a lovely place, St. Brieuc, but too far from central Paris for me. I'll probably give the Hotel du Champ de Mars in the city a try. Thanks again!

Kim

We stayed at hotel du champ de mars in May and it was great! The people there are very friendly and helpful and the neighborhood couldn't be better! Get the chocoale almond crossaints at the place that is on the corner and across the street on rue cler (out of the hotel and take a right walk straight and cross the street awesome bakery!- we brought some home) Try not to go to many of the restaurants listed in guide books, we went to one and it was like eating in NY, all americans! We found a couple of great ones where we were the only americans but I may keep those to myself, unless I'm persuaded to share. Make your reservations early for the hotel for they book up very early. Happy travels
