I have stayed there three times, the last time about two years ago. If you are asking about the site, it is, in my opinion, the best in Rome. It is very near, perhaps a block, from the bottom of the Spanish Steps. There are many good restaurants and good shops in the area. The subway stop is just at the bottom of the Spanish Steps, and it is pleasant walking in this area in the evening. Have a good trip. The hotel is very nice.
Hi Kim,
I have done an exhaustive search of the web and have not found a website for the Carriage. I normally prefer not to stay somewhere that I have not seen a picture, but this hotel seems so special, that we're going to give it a try. The Eyewitness Travel Guides calls the hotel one of the best in Rome and has a very tiny picture. While it may not be the Hassler, we have been able to secure a room for 4 in a desirable neighborhood during the Easter holidays at an affordable price. Their e-mail address should you need it is [email protected].
