hotel at Heathrow for one night?

Can anybody recommend a reasonable hotel near Heathrow? or an interesting B&B? We will just be there overnight to fly out in the morning.

Marycang: $110 for LHR via Priceline? That is a awful lot. I generally get a 4 star bidding in the $45-$60 range. Unless you mean you booked on priceline, instead of bidding through the "name your own price" feature. Using the regular booking side of PL is not any cheaper than other booking engines.

jbh555: First of all, what do you consider 'reasonable"? Priceline is VERY good for LHR. You can get a full service 4-star place on one of the Hotel Hoppa bus routes (no LHR hotels have free shuttles) for a fraction of just about any hotel or B&B. A decent B&B nearby will run at least $120-$130 or likely more.

I booked the Renninasance for about $100 via Marriot.com a year or so ago. Was worth it for me to be sure I was on the bus, plus as a Marriott elite I wanted the points

jbh555:

We recently stayed at the Premier Inn on Bath Road. Customer service was outstanding. I thought the bed was on the soft side but o.k for one night.

After a long day of travel it was very convenient to eat our evening meal in the restaurant located on the premises. The breakfast is outstanding.

You do have to pay on the Hotel Hoppa Bus however it is quick and convenient.

I've stayed at that Premier Travel Inn a couple of times and it is totally acceptable. However - one can get one of the Sheratons or Marriott or other 3-4 stars for less money using Priceline. I only book the Premier Inn if/when I'm unsuccessful bidding PL (maybe 1 out of 6 or 7 trips)
