Hotel at Budapest Airport

We're renting a car for 5 days. Our flight home leaves early in the morning and we'd like to return the car the night before. We need to spend the night at a hotel close to the airport or with transportation. Any suggestions?

The best I think you are likely to do is get about half way between downtown and the airport, so you might as well stay downtown. A taxi can easily be arranged either by your hotel, or by yourself directly with one of the established, reputable companies, such as City or Fo.

Thanks for the response. Have you ever stayed at or heard of a hotel called Ibis Aero? They must be half way to the airport.

Yes, the Ibis Aero is around half way. I never stayed there, but have been past it. There really isn't a whole lot of interest around it, so I still think you would do at least as well staying downtown.

We stayed at the Ibis in May and we also returned the car the night before. However, there is nothing in the area of interest and if I were doing it again I'd stay in the city and take a taxi in the morning.
