Good afternoon, Mike
Have not stayed at this hotel but an familiar with the area. The Hotel ALCYONE, calle dei Fabbri, is a two star
hotel with 21 rooms, each room has a
bath and other amenities. However it
does not list airconditioning as one
of them, this would be dependent upon
the time of year you will be in Venice.
The location is very good it is located
just north of the Pza S. Marco and half
way to the Ponte Vecchio, many, many shops and ristorantes around. Distance
from the Pza S. Marco to the hotel would
be about 200 m. Richard of LaGrange Park,Il..

My mom and I stayed at this hotel in APril this year. I would stay there again. The location is perfect. The rooms are decent and the staff helpful. One word of caution: if you stay out late, be sure to carry the hotel phone number with you. Twice during our stay we got locked out as the staff went to bed and could not here the buzzer downstairs (yeah I know you'd think I would have learned after the first time...). I ended up having to look for an open bar and asking them to phone the hotel for me and wake the guy up.
