Al Gambero...ask for a room on one of the upper floors. Venice is very safe; I have been there alone and wanted to chat but never felt afraid. <BR>

Good morning, Sandra Have not stayed at the Al Gambero, however have stayed <BR>at the ALA about three times in past <BR>years. It is a three star hotel with <BR>77 rooms, without ristorante, located in <BR>the campo Santa Maria del Giglio. It is <BR>about three blocks west of the Pza S. Marco, as said set in a small square, that leads directly to the vaporatto <BR>stop, Giglio and also has a very good <BR>ristorante to the right as you go out <BR>of the hotel, the Giglio. <BR>Another good one in the area is toward <BR>the Pza S. Marco about a block and that <BR>is the Da Raffaele, the calle runs from <BR>the Pza S.
