Hostels in Spain
Hello all,
I am planning to visit Spain for 14 days in March and will be visiting Barcelona, Madrid, and Seville.
As I am traveling alone, I think the best way to meet people is by staying at hostels. I would really appreciate any suggestions with hostels in any of three cities. I am looking for a hostel that has great atmosphere, and a place I can meet fellow travelers. I prefer gay-friendly hostels.
Thank you in advance

A short train ride from Barcelona is Sitges, one of the primo gay seaside resorts in Europe - not sure if they have a hostel but you may want to investigate.

Note that the Spanish word Hostales I think does not refer to a hostel but a cheap hotel - not sure but think so.

Yes, a hostal in Spain is normally a basic hotel standard, great value and often family owned place.

Let's Go Europe or Let's Go Spain are books that do a great coverage of hostels (and hostales - but those are private room that do not afford the chance to meet others unless they are large ones) - a wealth of into - still available on Amazone.com or in your local library.
