Hooray!

I have not been able to post for over a month. But today Fodors seems to have killed the bug. Hope anybody else out there like me will be equally blessed. (I'm a Mac user which seems to have complicated things.)

I just did a search on Lisbon (friends are off next week) and got tons of stuff. I took a course in programming (COBOL...which shows how old I am !!)and don't envy the people trying to figure out these abberations.

cigalechanta - It has been doing that to me also. Finally, I was playing around and realized that if you kind of drag your mouse pointer down from near the right side of where the search window is, it pulls the other 'stuff' down and the search window appears. It has worked for me several times - it's been like this for a week or 10 days now.
Hope it helps!

I'm a Mac user and I was having some trouble getting threads to open for only one day a couple of days ago. A few days before that the entire site wouldn't open.
Alls good now.

I'm on a Mac, and the site will not let me post when I'm on the Safari browser. However, I can post (like now) when I use Firefox.

I am not a Mac user, and had a lot of problems lately – every time I was browsing the Fodor’s site, my computer would freeze. In only happened when using IE and Fodor’s. Using Mozilla / Firefox was file, and browsing any other web site was fine.

Now, it’s OK again…and I did not do anything to ‘fix’ it…go figure.

I'm a MAC user. Sometimes lately I had trouble posting using Safari -- I'm on Safari now. It worked with Firefox. I thought it was odd as this is the website where I was having a problem. I also had to keep logging in when I'm used to it knowing who I am.

Yes, cigalechanta, it seems to be only a temporary fix. How long has this been going on for you? I think it's been about 8 or 10 days, maybe 2 weeks. I thought it was temporary at first, but it seems permenant, at least at home. At work, I don't think it's the same. I'll check for sure tomorrow.

I use Safari w/ no problems. The few times I've had glitches recently it looks like everyone (pc and mac) was having trouble too since the traffic was waaaaay down. Instead of threads ever minute or so, they were posting every 10 mins or more. So I think the site as a whole was having some probelms a few days ago.
