Honeymoon in Spain/Portugal?!

My fiance and I are looking at going to Spain and Portugal for our honeymoon at the end of October, 2011. I'd love any suggestions of fun/romantic places to visit in the area that won't leave us broke. THANKS!

How long do you have for the trip?

Spain and Portugal is a huge geography. You'll need to narrow down the scope in order to have an enjoyable pace.

Spain is really 5 trips and Portugal can be seen in 2 trips of 2 week each. I suspect you do not have 2 months for this.

A good first trip is Andalusia---Seville, Granada, Cordoba etc. You will need 10 days for that.

Andalusia generally, as immediately above, can give the romance - hostAls, pensions and small hotels should suit - but without your input on amount of time, budget for accommodation, particular interests, your vision of Spain or Portugal, etc who knows.

Um - we really have no idea what will leave you broke. If you want specific recos you need to provide specific prices for hotels, and ranges for restaurants - that is eat from supermarkets, budget cafes or whatever.
