Honeymoon Ideas for Italian Riviera

I'm planning a Honeymoon for 8/16 -8/26. I'm looking for a quieter setting on the Riviera with close access to a beach for relaxing. Any ideas for vacationing this area?

Thanks,

PJ

August--the coast--quiet--beach--relax.

These words do not belong together for August in Italy. It may be too late already to book hotels. All of the locals vacation then.

Thanks for the input. I guess I have to look to the Caribbean.

There is a quiet little village about 30 miles west of Genoa named Noli. It goes back hundreds of years. I only visited for a few hours, but the beaches looked really nice. I was there in late July and it didn't look terribly crowded. The place is so small it might be missed by the large crowds.

I'd advise against the Caribbean in August. It can be stifling hot, buggy, and there's always the potential for serious rainstorms. Could you go to Italy in September or October instead? If not, how about the English lake district or some Scandinavian countries?

Good luck in your planning!
