Honeymoon Help?
I was wondering if anyone could offer us a few ideas or recommendations. We are planning our honeymoon for Oct 2006. We have about 10-14 days to travel and want this trip to really feel like its not an ordinary vacation. Luxury is important to us without going overboard. We are looking for romantic streets and cafes and spectacular views. We do want to relax and not spend our entire honeymoon treking around. I have traveled throughout Europe but am open to any ideas.
We are thinking Italy, The Amalfi Coast & Tuscany. We are also thinking Spain, Marjorca, Seville and/or Marbella. Someone also recomended Portugal. Any suggestions would be greatly apprectiated.

Has your betrothed been to Europe? If I were seeking luxury and relaxation, I don't know if I would want to include a trans-oceanic flight (in each direction) as part of a 10 day trip or not.
From what continent will you originate? Can you elaborate on why you think you can find "romantic streets and cafes and spectacular views" better in Europe than on the continent where you live? If you can answer that in a sentence or two, it might help elicit some answers to your destination questions.
Whatever your decision, congratulations on your new life in marriage... and...
Best wishes,
Rex

Rex,
Thank you for your reply. We live in the United States (Northeast) and since our honeymoon falls right when hurricane season begins the Caribbean is not a great option for us. Anguilla was at the top of our list. We started thinking outside the box and came up with Hawaii as an option. It does not look as specatular to me as some other locations. Just my opinion, everyone I know that has been to HI has loved it. Then we came up with the idea of Europe. I have been to Italy ( Venice, Florence, Rome, Capri and Cinque Terra) my fiance has not. I have also travelled throughout many parts of Europe. My idea of romantic-The French Quarter in Paris or Italy-the entire country. We both think Italy would be very romantic but also also a lot of trekking around and we are still deciding if that is such a great idea for a honeymoon. If you have any suggestions in Europe or if you have been to HI I would be interested to hear more.
Thank you,
Robyn

Hi rbs,
Italy a lot of trekking around?
You could spend 10 days on the AC with visits to Capri, Paestum, Sorrento, Pompeii, Naples and still find time to laze on the beach.
Have you looked at http://www.ondaverde.it/
