Holiday Inn Kensington Forum vs Holiday Inn London Kensington

Hi

On the Holiday Inn website, there are two hotels in Kensington, one the Forum and the other HI London Kensington. They are both on Cromwell Rd.

On this board and tripadvisor, I find a lot of info on the Kensington Forum (mostly positve reviews), but none on the other one.

Has anyone stayed at the Holiday Inn London Kensington? I am just wondering if one is preferable to the other.

Thank you

Gracie04,
I have stayed at the Kensington Forum on 2 separate trips. We really liked it. They have a great breakfast buffet, and the location is wonderful. We are returning in a couple of weeks to London and will be staying at the Kensington. The Forum did not have family rooms availible. I have not stayed at the Kensington before, but a very good friend has and enjoyed it. It is truly right around the corner. She said it was fine, not quite as big as the forum. I have walked by the Kensington and it looks fine. We're staying there the first week of July for 2 nights. I can let you know when we return if you are interested.

We stayed there in June 2004 and were really pleased. We loved the location...literally across the street from the tube station. Check Tripadvisor again, there are plenty of reviews.

Have a great time in London!

In 2001 the old Forum hotel was changing over to the HI. It was a good location, very close to Kensington High Street and Kensington Gardens. As to the hotel itself it was a bland highrise with tiny rooms for the high price. But again our stay was before Holiday Inn took over.

The Forum is a modern (well, modernish)skyscraper style building whilst The HI Kensington is a traditional building of 3 or 4 floors on the opposite side of The Cromwell Road. Both are in a great location with Gloucester Road (Piccadilly, Circle & District Lines) a two minute walk. Plenty of eating places, shops, supermarkets, an internet cafe, a post office and pubs close by.
