They use wheat, barley, hops, some coriander .... oh you get the Idea.
By the way,in case you don't know, if you're in the US, and you see a beer Celis White (from the Celis Brewery in Texas) its intentionally extremely similar to Hoegaarden (and alot cheaper).
JK

Just outside Hoegaarden is a garden that includes a REAL beer garden--that is, they grow the ingredients used in the beer. And a local volunteer from Hoegaarden is there with a tapped keg, so you can taste the end result. A pretty garden and some interesting anecdotes from the locals (who laugh about the church across the street--the local brewers wanted to show their appreciation to God for their success, but the church they built holds five times the population, so it mostly empty).
BTilke (Brussels)

Wes: Thats stinks about Celis, I liked it alot-but wondered why I hadn't seen it around lately. But Brooklyn has its own imitation: Brooklyn Weisbeer.

Dallas: Its pronounced: HO'-Garten
(stress on the HOe)

Curious: No idea, probably in a tap house somewhere. Also in bottles but much better fresh from a tap.

jb: Chimay & Leffe are wonderful Belgian Abbey-Ales, glad you enjoy them. But not really in the same category as Hoegaarden - like apples & oranges.
AND all this talk is making me Thirsty! I need a beer!
JK
