HISTORIC TRIANGLE

I am looking for information on the Historic Triangle in Holland. Has anyone taken this tour?

Not on the steam train, but I can say the area is lovely.
For those you want to know more it is basically the towns of;
Hoorn, Medemblik and Enkhuizen

OK, now I know for sure, I was thinking about it..
Yes I have done it in the past with friends and plan to do it again next summer with other friends.
It is very interesting. From Hoorn you travel by original steamtrain to Medemblik. Sometimes the train has to pass roads, so travel is extremely slow. If you travel end of April/beginning of May you will see tulipfirelds blooming.
In Medemblik you can either walk directly to the port and take the old ship (no steam if I remember well) or walk around for a while, maybe visit the Radboud castle there.
From Medemblik to Enkhuizen the ship over IJsselmeer as mentioned, sailing not too far from the shore.
From Enkhuizen to Hoorn by regular train.
Option: if you have time enough in Enkhuizen, take the small ferry to Zuiderzeemuseum. All about the old villages around Zuiderzee.
Of course it is all great if the weather is cooperating.
