"Hipster" jeans in Europe

I love the women's low-cut, bell bottom jeans that are the rage right now - the 70's style!

Are these worn in Europe or would I stand out like a sore thumb?

Yes. And also they are wearing the jeans that are faded on the fronts and on the bum that look like they are worn out there.

If you have the figure to wear these, you go girl!

The thing I hate about them is that 90% of the people who wear them DON'T have the figure for them. I must be getting old because I'm tired of seeing people's middles down to where they almost aren't middles anymore.

In Germany everyone is wearing them! It doesn't matter what type of figure one has!

Thanks for all the quick responses. I've spent the summer working very hard (eating right and exercise) to loose 25 pounds that I had gained over the last 6 years and I'm only 3 pounds short of my goal! So, yes I have the figure (now) and I'll be wearing my hipsters to Europe to celebrate!

Those were ugly in the 70s, and they're still ugly.

Beyond a weight/figure issue, there is the age issue. People over 35 look a little out of place wearing these jeans.
Congrats on your weight loss! Style has no age.

FROM A BRIT I dont know why there are sooo many anxious posts from americans asking about what fashions are ok to wear in europe. I find fashion is the same everywhere I go.. I wear the same where-ever I go, jeans, t shirts it doesnt matter. and if you think about it, fashion shows happen in New York, London, Paris, Milan, so its all very similar all around the world. Whatever do you guys think we wear over here? bowler hats, suits and carry umbrellas and sip tea all day (oh maybe we do that)!! ;O)
