Love St. Germaine.

However - you will probably get better suggestions at lonely planet, virtual tourist.com, rough guide and time out - a majority of the posters here are probably more familiar with sock-hops. Time Out should have city guides for some of the major cities you're interested in.

And speaking of St. Germaine -
http://www.novaplanet.com

For clubs in London, in addition to the above, check letsgo.com (also good for Paris and other cities), lastminute.com (for actual dates and tix), and http://www.thesituation.co.uk/frameset.html

Got to head over to Berlin. That is the real place for hip-hop-dance music.

once you are in the country/city/town look for free weekly publications showing the music & arts events.

ask directions at your hostel/hotel to the nearest 'record' store and ask the clerk there.

if you are in cafes/restaurants of this age group/style, ask your waiter for advice.

get a local paper, even if you can't read the language you can probably figure out music event advertisements.
