Hermitage or Torre Guelfa
So we got confirmation from both Hermitage or Torre Guelfa for double room availability for 3 nights in Florence.
Hermitage has a 220 Euro rate for a superior double
Torre Guelfa has a 180 Euro rate for a standard double above the 1st floor.
What are your opinions as to which one of these 2 hotels to stay at??
Also, is this one of the more conveniently located areas in Florence to see the sights?
Since we'll only be there about 2-3 days, what are the "must do's/see's" in Florence??
Thanks so much!!!

I've never stayed in either one, but I looked up their locations for you. They are both in excellent location and quite close to each other and close to the Uffizi Gallery. Have you checked tripadvisor.com for reviews? Did you try searching this board to see if anyone stayed there recently?
For 2-3 days, I suggest you follow the "Best of Florence in 3 days itinerary", compliments of fodors.com

Given that you don't have much time, you should reserve advance tickets for both the Uffizi & the Galleria dell'Accademia in order to save yourself time from waiting in line. To find out how to reserve, check out this thread "Helpful Information Italy"
