Help with To Do List!!! Paris!!!

With 2 days to go until my first trip to Paris and France in general, I'm getting pretty anxious!
Does anyone have a "things to pack/to do before you leave" checklist that they typically use before travelling out-of-the-country?
I just want to make sure I'm not forgetting anything.
Thanks in advance for your help!

I usually mentally dress myself (no jokes please) as I write up my list.

starting with shower, then toiletries & drying of hair, clothing, my meds...

throw in a few extra pairs of contacts, sunglasses & glasses, my plane tickets, passport...

don't forget the film and camera.

and the books.

there is more to it, but that is a start.

Good ol' Rick Steves provides a suggested packing list here: http://www.ricksteves.com/plan/tips/packlist.htm

When it comes to clothes he is a minimalist.

Kristen
If you do a Search at the top of your screen for <pack> you will find previous postings with many good suggestions
Be patient until you get the results, the search function is slow
I'll add one item to Beth's list--umbrella.

As with any extended trip, I always have our mail stopped. Also, I find that making copies of important documents and leaving them with relatives/friends in the US helps to ease the mind for those "what if" occasions that I can thankfully say have never happened. Enjoy your trip!!
