eating out in the chianti region
Dear all

We'll be spending a week driving around Tuscany in September/October and will be staying near Radda in Chianti.

I'm interested in anyone's suggestions for good food in the Chianti area ( not so worried about finding good wine!!). The travle guide books don't devote much space to this region and my internet searches haven't led to much.

All suggestions welcome.

Thanks
Tina

Tina,
A wonderful view and food is Lamole!!! Take a very steep drive north of Radda look for the Lamole sign past Villa Vignamaggio --- the staff is so great, the view is incomparable and the food is delicious!!! We also enjoyed Cane e Gatto in Siena --which is a dining experience of 5 hours but worth it!

Ciao
Mary

We ate in a very good restaurant right in Radda, on the main road that goes through the town. It's on the left hand side if you are headed east. I'm sorry, I forget the name, but it's on the second floor and is associated with a vineyard. I think it starts with Locanda, but not positive. There are also a few good restaurants in Castellina in Chianti, down the road from RAdda.
