I have finally chosen my itinerary,

Rome 4 nights
on the 5th day drive to Orvieto then drive to Montelcino where I will spend the night.
6th day drive to Montepulciano, then to Cortona
on the following morning I will drive to Venice,
I want to stay overnight between Cortona and Venice but not in Florence. Does this make any sense?
Please help me with my itinerary, I am open for suggestions.

Thank you

you'll probably want at least 2 days/1 night in Venice and 3 days/2 nights in Florence if you've never been. 4 days in Rome is good.

Yes I have been to Florence, I am staying 3 nights in Venice, I'm just having a hard time choosing a place to stay overnight between Corotna and Venice

I have heard wonderful things about both Ravenna and Bologna...how about an overnight in either of those towns?

Hi T,

Bologna, Ravenna, Padua or Verona.

You could also overnight in Orvieto and go straight from Cortona to Venice.
